BODIES…. The Exhibition at Atlantic Station

Bodies features more than 250 real, whole and partial human body specimens providing an up close look inside the skeletal, muscular, reproductive, respiratory, circulatory and other systems of the human body.   These specimens have been meticulously dissected and preserved through an innovative process that gives individuals the opportunity to view the complexity of their own organs and systems like never before.  From November 7-March1, 2009.  Regency Suites is a few short blocks from Atlantic Station.

Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs Exhibition

King Tut Exhibit starts in November for 6 months at Atlanta Civic Center  - The second National Geographic exhibition dedicated to the artifacts of ancient Egypt’s most famous king and other ancient Egyptian royalty.  Includes more than 50 treasures from Tutankhamun’s toom and more than 70 items representing other pharaohs and notables.  Regency Suites Midtown Atlanta has a hotel package for this exhibit.

Holiday in Lights

Centennial Olympic Park’s annual Holiday in Lights is an Atlanta tradition and celebrating its tenth anniversary season this fall. In November, the Park transforms into a winter wonderland with thousands of lights that make up the dazzling display. Different and unique every year, Holiday in Lights runs through the first week of January. The Park is open daily to view the lights from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., including Dec. 25, Christmas Day, and there is no charge for admission.

Ice Skating at Centennial Park

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary season, Atlanta’s only outdoor ice skating rink at Centennial Olympic Park is an annual holiday tradition. Visitors enjoy covered observation seating, theatrical lighting on the real ice and holiday music. Admission is $7 per person for a 90 minute session; skate rental is an additional $2.

Titanic Aquatic at the Georgia Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium invites you to experience the mysterious, tragic story of one of the most famous ships in history through the new Titanic Aquatic. This new Titanic exhibition brings to life the story of the fated Titanic through authentic artifacts and hands-on interactive experiences.

Titanic Aquatic includes a vast collection of more than 190 artifacts recovered from Titanic’s debris field including 40 that have never been seen before. In addition to recovered artifacts and dramatic room recreations, the exhibition will engage visitors through interactive displays and captivating high-definition video presentations on Titanic’s construction, maiden voyage, tragic sinking and recovery of authentic artifacts.  The Titanic exhibit will be on display from August 22, 2008 till Spring 2009.

DIALOG IN THE DARK’S visually impaired guides lead visitors on a journey through a series of darkened galleries created to replicate everyday experiences. Without familiar sight clues, visitors learn to “see” in a completely new way with their non-visual senses.

DIALOG IN THE DARK had been presented in 22 countries and in over 130 cities throughout the world, breaking through stereotypes to promote respect and tolerance in an engaging and lighthearted way.

DIALOG IN THE DARK is a one-hour experience, which lasts a lifetime.
